Keith,
I am so sorry to hear of your sad news. Your son is beautiful and I am so glad you have him and he has you in this time. I remember well your elation when you met and fell in love with Melaine. It was simply wonderful to see the affection between you both. It is never easy to find the words to express one’s compassion, so I will leave you with the thought that you and your family are in my prayers.

Keith – I’m another ex-teacher from Clayesmore Prep.
I’m sorry to hear of your sad loss and equally sorry I couldn’t get to the memorial service in London. She was a delightful character and I remember her with much affection.
I’ve posted a couple of photographs of Melaine which I took sometime during her final year at CPS.

keith – hope that the memorial service went well. You have been in my thoughts since this time yesterday (well, and always) I can’t wait until you are able to post up the video. I miss you guys sooooo much! I hope you got your wristbands, I sent them, and they were supposed to be delivered today ( I sent them to Peter and Avril’s). I have been wearing my relentlessly. Keith – I just wanted to reiterate what I said at the Memorial Service in Ealing today – how amazing and honest you were in your wonderful speech to everyone. You should be so proud of yourself. It was such a beautiful memorial to Melaine and it was a privilege to be part of it. I wish you and Jay a safe journey back home to America. Sending you lots of love and continual thoughts go out to you both.

My wife Andy and I were so sorry to learn about Melaine from Debbie Geary and David Coley, two former staff at Clayemsore Prep. Whilst it’s been 20 years since we left the school and the same time since we have seen Melaine, it would be difficult to forget a lovely , friendly, popular young girl. My son Damian used to play elastics with her and remembers with pleasure how she pulled his hair!!!! I am afraid Andy cannot make it to the Memorial service, but I am going to try to rush a meeting in the hope that I can get there.

I lived with Melaine in the 1st and 2nd year of University and we had some great times together. I will always remember her smile and sense of fun. She has been a real inspiration to me
