I have met a wonderful woman. Her name is Jodi and she gets me… and I get her.

She makes me laugh and she shares in my tears. She has known about Mélaine and Jay and I for a very long time from afar.

She does not need me but she wants me. I like that.

Love is a beautiful thing.

We went to Chicago on Saturday for an over night. Jay and I went to the Museum of Science and Industry.

It was great! We stayed in the Sax Hotel, which was recommended by  Bob. I now recommend it as well.

It was a really fun trip. 

We are doing quite well. Here are some pics.

Wow,

It has been a long time since I blogged.

Well, we are still here. 

I started to feel a bit more these last few weeks. So I took it upon myself to have a bit of a meltdown.

A meltdown as it turns out, when you are responsible for a 4 and 1/2 year-old, means getting pissy when things don’t go your way at work and saying the 4 letter words loud enough for your next cubicle buddy to hear.

Jay continues to do well in school and say thoughtful things all of the time.

One night he asked me why I cried when I held him. I told him it was because he reminded me so much of his Mummy. He thought that was cool.

Love to all. If I don’t write back it is only because I am really really ridiculously busy.

You always had this on your wall at school. Whenever I see it I think of you, especially now. Not many 13 year olds were wise enough to use this as a guide to how their life should be lived, but you always understood what it was saying long before anyone would have expected you to.
