No major change overnight

Posted: July 30, 2008 in Melaine

Melaine had no major change yesterday. The doctors are balancing her meds to keep her pain free but still a bit lucid. She is starting to talk about and to people that aren’t there. Could be the meds could be something else. More updates to come.

Annie is back in Cleveland with us again, lovely to have here.

Grace and peace to all.

Love you all…

Dear Keith, we arrived in Littleton, safe and sound, on Tuesday before 6 pm. We had a calm interval with Nancy and Tom. You ALL continue to be in our prayers and in our thoughts all the time. The Apostle Paul said to pray without ceasing, and that’s what we find ourselves doing! We love you. Yes. Grace and Peace.

Melaine, you, Jay and all your family & friends are constantly in my prayers and thoughts on this leg of the journey. Wishing you all best,

We’re doing the Blood Drive at Sweetwater today, in honor of Melaine. But that Red Cross is so picky! They rejected me for slightly low iron. They rejected Alix and Mark Brody for living in England and they rejected Scott Senn for excessive heroin use. Man. No wonder blood reserves are low… it’s too hard to qualify. But seriously, That room is FULL of people giving blood and waiting their turn to give blood and getting their i-just-gave-blood cookies and soda. It’s not a crazy party because everyone’s pale and nervous but happy to be able to help. And then there’s the rejects like me. I still got the t-shirt and sticker and water bottle anyway.

From Mélaine’s desk calendar of Forgotten English for today’s date:

Onwaiter: A patient waiter for God’s blessing.

We lift you up, that we all continue to be onwaiters for Mélaine.

Peace and Grace to you all!

    In our thoughts and prayers,

Pete and I are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. UTS isn’t the same without Melaine and I miss hearing all her British witicisms. We wish you all the best.

  6. Steve says:

Diana and I continue to keep you, Meliane, and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Fond are my memories of our conversations; reading some of the posts has made me realize that the attitude that you exude permeates all that you are, all that you do, and your entire support system.

May God’s healing light shine upon each of you.

    Love and Peace

  7. Hetty and Geoff says:

    Peace be with you Mélaine
    Love always

    It’s Sunday morning about 8:40 — August 3.

Diana and I continue to keep each of you in the forefront of our thoughts and prayers — and also for all those who are affected by Melaine’s situation.

The beautiful day makes me think of the way that Melaine made my day through a visit to her, whether to chat, just say Hello, or come to her with an issue about Blackboard. Always a joy!

It’s been very uplifting to read the postings — what a terrific support group — so much love and caring.

    Love and Peace
